Diakopto (or Diakofto) is a very beautiful town in Achaia and one of the nicest destinations in Greece. Kalavrita mountain is only 37 km away and one can combine the sea with the mountain very easily. The harbor is very important sight of Diakopto with many fish boats and from where good fresh fish (and not only) can be bought. Next to the harbor, there is the beautiful small church of Saint Nikolas just next to the sea. In the centre of the town there are many stores, restaurants and cafeterias. The square of Diakofto is the place where most of the festivals during the summer time take place. Many nice beaches in the area of Diakopto attract people during summer.

Diakopto is two hours drive from Athens.

• Walks in the village Ano Diakofto where is the starting point of the most famous railway that leads to Kalavrita.
• Visit in the beautiful lake Tsivlou.
• Excursion in the Ski centre Kalabryton and in the Big Cavern, the ancient monastery of Greece, built the 362 BC.
• With starting line the neighboring village Solos, mountaineering-walk up to Waters of Stygos.
